Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the outside provider that returns results; our servers do not store a copy of that query. If you contact us, we receive the information in your message and use it to respond.
Automatically Collected Details
The host creates routine server logs such as IP address, browser type, visited pages, and timestamps. We review these in aggregate to maintain the service and understand readership. Cookies or comparable technology may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where used.
How Information Is Used
Information supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and page improvement. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual user profiles.
External Websites
Links may lead to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and outside search tools. The policy of that destination controls any information you submit there. This also applies to sponsored search results provided by another company.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers process server logs on our behalf. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. Data is disclosed when valid legal process requires it, and otherwise not.
Safeguarding Information
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the purposes described above. There are no visitor accounts, passwords, or profiles to expose through this service.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect a minor’s personal information; contact us if you believe a minor has sent information so it can be deleted.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held by a website. New York’s research provided for this service identifies FOIL, Public Officers Law Article 6, as the public-records law, rather than a general consumer-privacy removal right. Because we hold very little, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and server logs, then removing what is found. Use the Contact page. Records maintained by New York, Saratoga County, or Clifton Park offices are controlled by their custodians, not by this service.
Policy Updates
Changes will appear on this policy page. Continued use after an update means acceptance of the revised policy.
